Analyze the design and development of graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications. Operate standard computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts. Assist with basic illustrations and detail from models, sketches, memory, oral or written instructions, and imagination. Select type, draw lettering, layout materials, and perform related duties. Follow specific instructions regarding style, technique, and medium best suited to produce the preferred effects and conform to reproduction requirements.
Key Role & Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design or visual communications and web design and development.
  • Experience with formatting data into visually appealing layouts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (CC).
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Ability to make final reports interactive to upload to the Web or act as standalone interactive PDFs.
  • Ability to display a portfolio showcasing broad design and development competencies, including broad design expertise, usability, UI design, development best practices, and comprehension of Web technologies.
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in visual design, including gathering raw data from various sources and developing comprehensive and visually engaging designs.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and multitask across multiple projects and clients in fast-paced and team-based environments.
  • Experience with infographics and data visualization.
  • Experience with content management systems like Drupal is a plus.
  • Experience with Web development libraries, including jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and user-centered design.
  • Knowledge of evolving Web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, customer support, and collaboration skills.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
